Hybrid Air Source Heat Pumps
A Hybrid Heat Pump is another solution for properties with high heating and hot water requirements that may not be able to gain the full benefits of an air source heat pump on its own.
A hybrid system works on the basis of combining a heat pump along with a fossil fuel boiler (Gas, Oil or LPG) The boiler can be either a new installation or an existing one.
Hybrid systems are ideal for properties that are larger, and / or possibly not fully insulated; or even for heating swimming pools. They offer the benefits of an air source heat pump, but with the added advantage of being able to boost the heat output required using a conventional heating method.
